THOMAS F. McCARTHY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The McCarthy Scholarship was established to ensure that students who emulate Tom’s love of learning and desire to always know new things may be assisted with financial aid.  He would be thrilled to know that donations in his name have helped others realize their dream of further education, as is the family.

The McCarthy family is both honored and humbled that a scholarship has been named for our father, brother and uncle.  From the time he was a young man Tom loved learning.  He was like a sponge, he could never get enough.  His mother called him her “professional student”.  He once told her he would never stop going to classes and learning. May he rest in peace and may his legacy and love for education endure at IUPUI through this scholarship.
